We use Joomla for most projects and sometimes WordPress depending on the clients needs. Most of the time this is all that is required for small to medium sized business websites and blogs. Shopping carts we use Virtue-mart for Joomla and WP e-Commerce for WordPress.

We put together a written estimate based of this information and on approval from the client we start on the project. ”Keeping in contact is critical. Fixing any problems that may arise is also critical to relationships and offering help, support and free advice when a client needs it. ”With no relationship the only areas a potential client has to go off is price, reviews and personality. However not all design companies are created equal. Buy off who you feel more comfortable working with long term but also make sure they have the skill set to provide what you need.”

”Its just going to keep getting bigger with mobile phone apps probably moving forward big time but I still think people are going to want to view websites on desktop and laptops with larger monitors than a phone. Visual search results from pictures will take off and google will be able to read images by then. Mobile website are going to be a big part of the industry in the next couple of years with more people using smart phones, especially for local search results looking for restaurants, cafes and other business locations.”

”Key word research so you are targeting the correct words in your website content. Unless people are searching for your business products and/or services your website will not work. In a competitive market you need to back-link and use pay per click in Google, Bing and Facebook. Start a blog and add useful product information into it on a regular basis.”
