People often say to me they need a website but don't have a clue how to start, and they are sure it's going to cost an arm and a leg! So I work closely with my clients to create a personalised website in a way that is geek-free, fast and reliable, and for any budget.

I have been developing and maintaining websites since 2005. My experience includes Content Management Systems, e-commerce, blogs, embedded videos, image galleries, slideshows and custom forms.

Meeting deadlines and communicating with my clients, who demand service, reliability, efficiency and economy, are priorities for me.

Free Noosa

Free Noosa
The Free Noosa campaign required a Content Management System website to promote their campaign to de-amalgamate the old Noosa Shire and other communities of interest from the Sunshine Coast Council following amalgamation in 2008. In consultation with the Noosa Independence Alliance I created a Joomla website with slideshow banners, a blog and customised contact and registration forms. I also prepared manuals to train their committee of volunteers to update the website themselves. The blog is currently not being used and Free Noosa volunteers are updating the website content.

Eagle Web Design: Happy clients = happy me!

WWDC: Describe your office environment.
Eagle Web Design: I work in a peaceful and inspiring rural Australian landscape, surrounded by gum trees and native plants which are visited by Kookaburras and Wallabies.

WWDC: Describe how your team interact and work together.
Eagle Web Design: I am a multi-talented one-woman band, however I have several knowledgeable colleagues to whom I refer my clients if they require services which are outside my expertise.

WWDC: What makes you different from other web design companies?
Eagle Web Design: I visit my clients personally and spend time with them to create a unique website tailor-made for them and their business.

WWDC: How do you get the majority of your business?
Eagle Web Design: Word of mouth referrals.

WWDC: Describe how you manage projects from the initial client contact to completion and handover.
Eagle Web Design: Needs Assessment clarifies goals, audience, content. Quote and contract, deposit to commence, then part-payments or balance on completion as agreed.

WWDC: What do you think is the most crucial element of creating a good client relationship?
Eagle Web Design: Communication is crucial. If I have a question about any of my client's requirements I will ask for clarification so that I fully understand what is required. I will be clear about how and when I will communicate and they will find me reliable and responsive.

WWDC: How do you manage demanding clients?
Eagle Web Design: I strive to meet my client's requirements, deadlines and milestones to ensure they are happy with my services. However, if a client is asking for something that is outside our originally agreed terms I will do my best to meet their needs or renegotiate the agreement if necessary.

WWDC: If a client was trying to decide between a shortlist of web design companies, how would you recommend they go about selecting the right one for them?
Eagle Web Design: Prospective clients should first meet with the designer if possible, or speak to them via phone or Skype, and find out what experience the company has in designing and developing the kind of website the client needs. They should also view portfolios of the web design companies online and read testimonials from previous clients. Talking to other clients about their experience of working with the designer is also very helpful.

WWDC: Where do you see your company in 10 years time?
Eagle Web Design: Satisfying the website needs of small businesses of all types by offering excellent service at affordable rates.

WWDC: Where do you see the web design industry in the future?
Eagle Web Design: It's hard to say ... but if I was to let my imagination go for a stroll it could be that in the future everyone will be wearing the internet in their sunglasses and/or on their wrist.

WWDC: What computers do you have use in your offices, PCs or Macs?
Eagle Web Design: Both PC and Mac

WWDC: How was your company name chosen?
Eagle Web Design: Eagles see the big picture when they soar high above the ground or sea, however when they spot what they are looking for they dive with speed and pinpoint accuracy to achieve their goal. I have been told that I have the ability to watch and listen and then accurately summarise and focus on the main issue or point. I believe this is a valuable skill in web design.

WWDC: If you were to give your clients one tip on how to get the most from their website what would it be?
Eagle Web Design: Prepare well. Clarify your website goal(s), audience(s) and content.
