Question

Site Conversion to Web2.0
I'd like to know how you would approach the migration of http://www.simplyoakfurniture.co.uk/ using Django Python as the primary framework. I require budgetary proposals for an immediate project. Your help is much appreciated.

Hi Neil,

The current website at http://www.simplyoakfurniture.co.uk/ seems to be based on PHP built using the website builder at http://www.freestart.com/. It sure can be migrated to a Django Python based platform. The first step would be to export all the content present in the current website and convert it into a standard format like JSON/XML and import this into the newly created Django Application. Feel free to get in touch with us to know how we can help you migrate the whole website to a brand new Django Python Application. We would be glad to prepare a cost-effective proposal for your migration.

Hi Neil

We can build you a solution in Django Python... but it would be really useful to know why you re so set on this solution as it could influence the approach. Do you have in-house expertise in this area and want to provide support. Or is there some particular attribute of Django/python that attracts?

Thank you.

Hi Neil

Is using Django Python essential? We'd love to put a proposal together but it wouldn't involve this for various reasons.

Many thanks

I would be more concerned with the design of your site than in using any particular CMS.

Design is crucial - it makes visitors trust your site, stands you out above other sites - and entices visitors to make a purchase.

Of course, this all needs to be combined with search engine optimisation!
