Hi,

I can take care of those website changes that you need. If you can send me a list of changes needed, I will send you a quote to complete them.

I have over 12 years experience working on Internet projects. I also run website maintenance contracts for clients: http://dakor.ie/services/maintenance/ and if you want to be able to make these changes yourself, I also install content management system (CMS) into existing websites: http://dakor.ie/services/cms-integration/

thank you,

Hi,

Your website could do with a design overhaul. Everything from the colour scheme to the graphics could do with a bit more finesse.

Get in touch with us to discuss the matter further, also please look at our existing portfolio for previous work

Hi Shane

Personally i would recommend going with a local company, it would make your life much easier trying to stay in touch with them.

Most of the times if you choose to work with a long distance company you will have some difficulties communicating with them since time zones might be different.

I would also like to wish you luck with your the development of your new site, and if you should need any help in the future i would be more than happy to assist you in any way.

Have a wonderful weekend :)

Best Regards

If you want a local provider then try searching in Google local search.

If you're currently having a new site done, I cannot understand why you don't use the same company to brush up the old one, while the new one is still WIP?..

Hi Shane, I assume the site your are talking about is http://www.irelandchauffeurtravel.com/.

This site has ranking and links associated with it. If, you want to preserve your links and ranking with the new site then you should have the same domain name and the same page names. Otherwise you will get issues with pages not found, broken links etc.

If your new site is not the same domain name then the issues will be duplicate content (Google will only show the first instance), and loss of links.

To get around this, I suggest you use 301 redirects to point the old domain/pages to the new/doain pages and then tell Google in its webmaster tools that the domain the old domain has moved.

The benefit of having a local web designer is that you can meet them face to face and build up a better customer relationship. Whoever you pick, ensure that all the hard work you have invested into your old site in terms of ranking and authority is transferred to the new site.

I would recommend getting the new designers to make the changes to the old site as long as they are only small. ie text or image changes.

I would not recommend any large scale changes especially if a new site is under development. Any money spend now is potentially wasted.

If we were doing the new site for you, we would certainly not charge you for making small changes to the old one as part of the project cost.
Have you asked them?

I would be happy to discuss updating your website for you. Since you are in the process of developing a new website, I'm sure you would like to keep your changes simple. I can make this very cost effective for you so you don't have to waste money. Although you prefer to work with a local designer, I can still make it a simple process for you and get your project completed quickly, professionally and for a very affordable price.

I understand you'd prefer to use a local web designs service but don't ignore other web designers just becuase you can't knock on their door!

Many web design companies just work remotely and will do just as a good a job than somebody up the road!

Of course, check that you can get hold of them when you want to be able to and that they are responsive to your requests.

Hope this helps.

The Great thing about the web is that you can have anyone from anywhere work on your website.

It can sometimes be best to shop around, but the best thing that I would suggest for your situation would be ask the company that is building the new website and ask the company that built the old website, as they will tend to give you the lowest price, because other web companies might have to learn how your system works before they can update your website.

Thanks
Andrew

I would ask your existing developer to freshen up your live website at the same time if you are happy with his or her's work.

I agree with the above comments - the website could do with a bit of an update design wise.

Also, I totally understand that you would rather see the work going to a local designer - it makes sense, not only is it convenient for meetings etc. but also means your money is going to the local economy... so good on you!

Regards,
Fergus
