This sounds just up my street this one - I'm a passionate web designer/developer and poker player!

Looks to me like a simple enough brief and appears that Wordpress content management would ideally suit this site (this would give you full ability to upload videos, manage your forum and write news articles perhaps on recent tournaments etc). We could get some beautiful design aspects in their too to compliment the backend system.

With the added benefit of having a web video team, we also have vast experience in video for web editing, online presenters and interactive elements at hand which I feel would greatly enhance the user experience of your site.
